BeiTa Plugin

A friend messaged me this morning with a problem on her phone. She's trying to remove a plugin called BeiTa Plugin and thinks it may be malware, but she hasn't been able to remove it with any malware removers from the Playstore. She says it's a virus or trojan, but I can't find much, if any, info on this online.
Any suggestions on how to remove or identify this?
I couldn't remember what I had recently downloaded. I found an app called "app history".
Downloaded that & deleted the Step app & that got rid of it

I deleted my favorite gesture type app, @TouchPal It was pretty good, better than Swift but the ads were getting more and more intrusive to the point of debilitating the devices. After scathing reviews, the only thing they would answer was to send a picture of the offending apps. I told them I had no time to deal with that kind of stupidity. What idiots!

another one here with a Smart Scan trojan horse on my wife's S9. What's interesting, she had that app for awhile, never an issue. The problem started only yesterday. Not sure if the app was recently updated or something else triggered it when my son was playing with here phone. Just removed that app, and so far so good (knock on wood).

Read through the rest of the thread. See whether any of the apps people have identified as containing this match any of your apps, and if they do try deleting them.

The plugin was hiding in Smart Scan on my Samsung Note 9, deleted Cache and uninstalled, seems to have worked

I figured this out today. I have had the same issue for about a week. It is one little thing that got turned on. (This is mostly for people whose phones are systematically surrounded by their Google accounts.)

1. Go to your system settings.
2. Go to "Apps," "Apps Info," or "Apps & Notifications".
3. Select the Google app. (Not Chrome.)
(See attached photo.)
4. Scroll down to "Advanced".
5. Turn off "Draw over other apps" & "Modify System Settings"

That's all...this stops any third party that uses Google as it's information selling platform.

It is a fake name of an app doing that. But it has the same logo of an app Drink Water. I deleted that app and all god for now.
this worked for my phone. i could not get rid of the pop ups, but somehow it showed up on my open apps. it was hidden in Daily Pedometer as it had the same icon as that app . uninstalled that app and the virus/plug-in seems to be gone! hallelujah. thank you!
