I have a Samsung SM J320A phone with Marshmallow 6.0.1 installed on it. I bought a ScreenBeam- Mini 2 dongle. I tried connecting using wifi Direct on my phone to connect to the dongle but would not connect. I tried 3rd party apps such as miracast but they did not detect the dongle. The ScreenBeam Utility app would detect the dongle but would loose the connection after I closed the app. I am trying to get away from Google products, so I don't want to use Chromecast. I would rather use Miracast. My pc's with Windows 10 & my Galaxy Tab works flawlessly with the dongle (using Miracast). Just wondering if anybody has any ideas how I could get this setup working with the ScreenBeam dongle & my Samsung phone. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

This is just speculation but apparently your phone does not include DLNA support so perhaps there could be compatibility issues with something like that dongle.
