I've had the same phone for a while so not very knowledgeable. But I wanted to know how to keep/switch the same service on my current phone to my new one I'm ordering online.

From what I gather, I just move my sim card from my old phone to the new one, but just wanted to make sure.

My old device is a Metropcs HTC Desire 530, and the new one will be a LG K20 Plus MP260 - 32GB Black.

Thank you!

The new phone should be a US-market version with the correct bands so it will work properly on the T-Mobile/Metro network. Some international models won't have the right bands.
Other than that,, you'll have to call Metro and register the phone with them by giving them the ESN. It won't work just by popping in your old SIM card.
Also, unless it happens to be a T-mo or Metro branded device wifi calling will probably not work on it.
