Restricting wifi on some applications

Here s the scenario : I have a wifi manager which allow the user to add a wifi (because I have deleted the original settings on android) - now I need only few applications to use the internet (one of among is a customized browser) & the wifi manager will be among those applications of course.

So, I you want to block internet access from some of the apps in the device & allow it for others.

A firewall app will do it. I'm guessing you are rooted because of the degree of modification here, in which case you have a wide choice to pick from.

yes rooted .. any recommended firewall, though i tried 2-3..

THIS FIREWALL CAN BE EDITED BY ANY USER OF THE PHONE OR TABLET.. SO IT IS NOT PROTECTED.

That's an unusual requirement in a firewall app - I've never met one that has it.

I suggest using a separate app to lock (password protect) access to it.

I would think the user of the device would have his own password to the device so no one else can use it or edit.. You Think?

Also it's apps called App Locks that can lock individual apps with a password on your device, so there is a workaround to accomplish what I am assuming you're trying to achieve.

Sir we must be in control of some devices in our institution this is why.
As for Applock , it is very poor even the paid version.

AFWall+ is a very good, root-required firewall app, and if you go into its Preferences >> Security menu you can set up either a password or pattern lock.

... and just as an aside, the 'NoRoot Data Firewall' is a solid firewall for non-rooted devices, and in its Settings menu there's a 'Password protect' option (requiring Pattern to unlock):

I would totally recommend this one with password protection included, also you can choose what type of connection you want on each of the apps..

AFwall+ is excellent - I would buy it if it's password protected, BUT it is not!

That's odd, I'll have to dispute your claim. As I type this I'm looking at the app's Preferences >> Security menu. There's an 'Enable protection' menu with options to use either Password or Pattern, a 'Stealth mode on pattern' check box, and a 'Maximum number of attempts' option.

Yes but it s not working! plus you can simply uninstall the app though there is an option to prevent this.
