Can anyone help me? Not even my IT at work can figure this out. I have a Galaxy S9.

At first, my work email was configured thru the Samsung app. That was fine. Getting email and callander syncing, but contacts from work Outlook would not sync.

IT told me to delete the work account, download Microsoft Outlook app, and set up exchange server info. I did.

Worked fine. Was getting work email thru Outlook app and calander items were syncing to the Samaung calander app. Still no contacts syncing.

No matter what I try I cannot get our work company directory (from Outlook) to sync to Samsung contacts.

Yes, I have ensured that syncing is enabled. Says it is. I've been researching close to 4 hours. Have read every post online pertaining to this issue. Have tried numerous ways to make it work. It doesn't.

Can someone PLEASE help me??

Hi Kboy420,

I'm far from an expert but did have a similar issue with my Pixel 2 XL and discovered that I was attempting to install Outlook instead of Outlook 365 for exchange. Once the correct application was installed and logged into the correct account exchange works as it should.

Hope this helps....:)

Thank you. Figured it out. My company uses a "global address book" through Outlook. As such, the contacts are located on the server - not associated with each individual. Easy to fix, by just going into the Global Address book, finding the contacts I need, and selecting "Add to Contacts". This adds the global contact to your local contact directory, and syncing then works fine.

Upon doing this all, I ended up deleting the Outlook app and just using the Samsung email app. However, I am still receiving Outlook email notifications AND Samsung email notifications for the same email. But Outlook is not installed on the phone. I've verified that. So I cannot turn notifications off for Outlook, because it doesn't show it as installed. Yet I am getting these notifications, and when I click on them, I'm taken into the Outlook App, which I uninstalled from my phone. Anyone know about that??

I did not buy it. My company provided it to me, and as far as I know, they bought it from the local Verizon store.
Digging some more, the S9 has an option on the main apps page to select between "Personal" and "Work". On the person section, Outlook is not displayed. When switching to "Work", Outlook is still displayed. So I am assuming, depending on which view you select (Personal or Work), determines what apps show up in the phone's settings? Assuming I need to delete Outlook (again) from the "Work" profile to stop duplicate notifications on the same email.
