I really do hope you're doing good. I've been there and done that myself with hospital stays so I know how much they suck. Six months at a time though I couldn't even imagine. I was there for a week on week off basis for chemo. During my time I did figure out how to get yourself a private room. I honestly couldn't say how though. I've always had a habit of talking in my sleep and the occasional walk. I remember not sleeping properly for a couple of days because of all the shit going on in the backgroundon on the ward. Just as I'd drifted off the nurse come over to change my IV. I half remember saying something to her but to this day I have no idea what. Kinda snapped back into reality when the whole ward was laughing. Kinda wish I knew what it was but somethings I'll never know. Although from that day they gave me a private room for the rest of my stays. Get well soon please :)

Dudes! I'm home. :D Tired right now, so I'll try to be brief.

Friday afternoon I suddenly had CRUSHING chest pain. I tried to convince myself it was heartburn, but two antacids didn't help. My live-in helper came home and asked what was wrong...I told her, we tried some more antacids, and by now I was clutching my chest. I tried to convince myself it was nothing. She reminded me what happened the last time I thought I'd be okay...so we called 911.

The paramedics were here in two minutes. (I love Arcadia!) BP and pulse were very high, very short of breath. Started an IV, gave me two sprays of nitroglycerine, plus four baby aspirin. Then off we went, lights and sirens, to the ER; another dose of nitroglycerine.

Temperature was 101°. ER doc got a brief history, most notably the sepsis that put me in the hospital for six months; glanced through those records. Not wanting to go down that road again, he ran two bags of Vancomycin while running various tests. Suspected a blood clot in the lungs (pain), but scans ruled that out. Cardiac enzymes were off. By now I'd been admitted.

Numerous cardiac tests over the next few days revealed...nothing! Nada. Zip. Zilch.

BP, pulse, breathing, labs were all normal; pain was almost gone. Confident that it was not a heart attack, but unable to make a diagnosis, much to my delight they let me go! :)

Will write more tomorrow. For now, GIANT HUG for the thoughts and prayers. Thank you. You're all so special to me...
