Random Thought Thread

five weeks at a time would be difficult. I used to do every week - but I was home nearly every weekend. biggest issue for me - paying bills.

Because I'm not there. I spent over a year and a half away from home I had to remind myself on a saturday to pay a set of bills and put them in the post office drop box - on my way out. This was before most of my utilities and the like moved to online pay systems. But even then there were fees.

Hell I turned off my internet for 6 months or more during that time. I was never home other than weekends, and I had other shit to do come next monday I was on a plane again.

I partially miss those days.

Red Bull stunt lights up skies over LA

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A pair of wingsuit flyers sponsored by Red Bull lit up the skies over Los Angeles at twilight Wednesday.

The wingsuits left a trail of flames over the downtown LA skyline.

On Twitter, some people reported seeing what they thought was a meteor or even a UFO.

But closeup video showed two people in wingsuits trailing sparks behind them in the air.

It wasn't immediately clear if the stunt was for a commercial or another project by the company.

Even the LAPD sought to reassure the public, tweeting: "PSA: A meteor did not crash into Downtown Los Angeles, and no, it's not an alien invasion...just a film shoot. This is Tinseltown after all."

Damn...I love my hometown. :D

ATT has something like 3 test markets - but there are only 2 devices in the US that even have the 5G LTE modems. Moto X with the mod kit and certain Samsung S10's. It's very restricted.

VZ is testing in 5 markets too - and it's all with moto X's that I know of.

Otherwise the rest of the ATT customers that have the banner - it's not real 5G at all They put that out there because they are claiming to have the first 5g network up and running.

or - so I've read.

The last one, a Malibu, just gave up after ten minutes.

This one, the Silverado, scanned for twenty minutes and produced a whopping three folders of music.

I mean, I do have a few USB 2 drives around, in more "reasonable" capacities, but the one with the most music and audiobooks is the one with the largest capacity, natch, and it also happens to be right next to the laptop.

I'll have to dig out one of the others and load it up, I guess...
