If you want to avoid people suggesting all of the things you've done it might be worth listing them.
I have to admit that while random pauses might sound like a new OS glitch, the sort of thing I'd try clearing the cache for, or worst case backup and reset (a pain, but sometimes the quickest way to fix things), ad popups doesn't sound like anything to do with an OS update. I'd clear browser caches, then start looking at any apps that have been installed or updated since shortly before this started.

As for random notifications, do you literally mean "every minutes" or just "frequently but randomly"? It may help someone identify the cause.

Yeah I messed with the pop up settings in the browser and in the phone settings. And didnt work. Checked for viruss with AVG. Nothing. As for Notifactions i have no clue. I turned off notification completely in the setting and still getting frequent tones everyother minute. Yes really every other minute.

try going into safe mode and see if you still have the issue.

Turn on and use safe mode
Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled. Then you can easily uninstall apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.
  1. Turn the device off.
  2. Press and hold the Power key past the model name screen.
  3. When "SAMSUNG" appears on the screen, release the Power key.
  4. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
  5. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
  6. Safe mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  7. Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode.
  8. Uninstall apps that are causing a problem.
Turn off safe mode
  1. Press and hold the Power key.
  2. Tap Restart.
