I have a captive portal Wi-Fi that I am having issues with since the update 2 days ago. When I click on the 'sign in to WiFi' my page gets stuck on the connectivity.gstatic.com. page. normally it would open a login page to sign in. I have tried multiple other browsers. Clearing cache, storage etc., Restarting network connections. Could someone please assist?

Try pointing your browser to http://neverssl.com/ to see if that will get the portal to load. Portals may not be able to hijack the connection to an SSL-protected site.

Is this a portal that you control, by any chance? There are some tweaks that might help better support Android devices from the network side.

No it's a WiFi where I work. Was able to connect forever then ran into this issue after the update a few days ago.

It's easy to correlate a change with a recently-installed update but I don't know of anything in the May 5, 2019 security patch which would have altered this behavior. Might you be able to check with the network administrator to see if they have any ideas? Are there any other captive networks you might be able to test against?
(For what it's worth, I've been able to connect to several captive networks on my Pixel 3 since installing the May 5 update.)
