I don't know this thing at all, is an Android box, or smart TV, or something?
If you go into the language settings does it only show "中文(Chinese)" and nothing else? If so, maybe check with the manufacturer or supplier about international versions.
I've got an Android DLP projector that only has Chinese, but that's not a problem for me.

Doesn't really tell me much, as like phones, there's hundreds of different ones. And I've never heard of this one.
Is the problem is that it's in Chinese and you can't find English, or that it only has Chinese, and no other languages at all?
Suggest you post model number, some pictures, screen shots, website details etc. As that might give us a better idea of what you've got there

Can you get into the Android box's settings, and look for a menu item "语言和输入" that's "Language and Input", and then "英语" that's "English".
If you need more help, post screen shots, as I can read Chinese, and maybe able to assist more.

If you have a phone handy install Google Translate. Set it to Chinese > English. And you can use the camera for instant translation via OCR and AR. And it might help you to find the right menu settings for language.

OK, I know what it is now. Made by this company in Beijing. https://www.cibn.cc/ (site is Chinese only).
Unfortunately this box will only work in Chinese, and was intended for sale and use only in mainland China, with streaming services like Youku and Iqiyi.
And I'm pretty sure that's all it can do, and can't be made or hacked to do anything else, that's it. If you're not in China, where did you actually get this box

Basically, yeh.
To change the language on this device, the PRC only firmware would need to be modified, or a custom ROM developed and built for it. Which is not likely to happen at all.
