Is it me, or how come everything fits together, what am I feeling? Fate?
Even though I do believe in everything but a soilder who wrapps his shoes together, and entitled "gods"
it feels like it is undercontrolled by our freedom though, rather pray to the freedom instead of a church, besides
I already went to all the New England area and listen, and absorbed everything, I can strum up in conversations.
No I am not spoiled either, I work too hard. Enjoy my cold beer like everyone else.

It used to be the "hotel business" and now it's the "hospitality industry." And then...

At lunch today the three twenty-something folks at the adjacent table were talking and one of them mentioned he previously worked in the "after-care industry." Apparently his friends hadn't heard that expression either, and I guess it's the soft and gentle "PC term" for the mortuary business. A misnomer at least to my mind, since there should still be a good amount of care provided to earthly remains before they are humanely disposed of through burial, cremation, entombment, etc.

Maybe they should call it "final care industry" if they're that worried about image?

I think they prefer "hospitality industry", because it covers so many more things, like restaurants, banquets, conferences, etc. The word "hotel" to me just means somewhere to sleep for a short period, although some hotels do cater for conferences, banquets, etc.

The phrase "after care" to me means, something you might receive after you've been in hospital, to help you complete your recovery, something like physiotherapy.

This is exactly what I thought.

And I had no idea it wasn't PC to call it the mortuary business. My mom didn't either. Prior to her death in 2013, she'd occasionally remind me of a task I'd have to do when she died--and I guarantee you she did NOT say, "when I die, get the after-care company's card out of my wallet and call them, and they'll come pick me up..."
