Just got a new G7 and I haven't managed to get scheduled do not disturb to work with it. I made a full week schedule and it just refuses to turn dnd on at the specified hour. If I turn it on manually, it will deactivate automatically at the correct ending hour. It's just that it doesn't activate when it should. I even tried changing the schedule so it turns on in a minute after I've tinkered with the settings and it started up right before my eyes...any advice? I'm on Android 8.0.0 and no software updates are available at the moment. And as a last mention I had the same schedule set on my last phone (G5) and never had any issues with it.

I just got G7 (on Verizon) last week at work and I noticed the same problem. But I had one update after I initially set G7 up, though. I am not sure if it was LG update or Verizon update. Update happened on May 14, version G710VM10j.

My G7 upgraded to Android 9 (PIE) yesterday and Do Not Disturb schedule still doesn't work. And what else, when I manually turn it on it doesn't even show icon on notification bar.

I managed to make it work in the meantime. I tried making two schedules, one for the weekends and one for working days. Then I noticed it would turn itself on only on Friday and Sunday nights. So it became clear to me that it only activated automatically on the first day of any given schedule. As such, I made 7 separate schedules, one for each day. Now it's working as intended, even if it's a bit ridiculous to have 7 schedules for such a basic function. Try it out, maybe it will fix it for you, too.

Let me know how it goes. I have yet to upgrade to 9.0 (even though I've just checked and the update is available) and I'd like to know whether upgrading Android will break dnd functionality again.

Sure. I just set up seven DND schedules, one for each day, so we will see what happens at 10:00 PM tonight.

OK. I just witnessed that DND turned on at 10:00 sharp according to schedule. Woo-hoo!
The only issue is that after upgrading to PIE (Android 9) I don't get icon (circle with dash inside) on notification bar.

I'm glad to hear it worked. Personally, I'm not having any issues with it after the upgrade to Pie. The icon is there and it works as intended.

So, my wife's and son's G7 phones on T-Mobile were upgraded to PIE and DND doesn't work any more like it worked before PIE, and icon doesn't show on notification bar anymore.

I got software update from VZW (or LG) on September 10 (G710VM20c) and now Do Not Disturb icon shows on notification bar every time.
