Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

You should start using it as a daily driver! I dare you!!
Actually, I fired it up a few years back because I missed modding. What that did was give me trouble in the Verizon Wireless computers. I couldn't get the Gnex out to get my Note back in. I don't believe I still have the Gnex, though. It was a neat modding experience.
So neat.

I power up some of my old phones here and there. I still have the OG Droid Incredible, the phone that brought me to this forum oh so long ago.

It's a lot less stressful with traffic lower. Daily walls of spam, and a few FRP threads to PSA and close. Other than that, mod like is pretty boring nowadays. :p

IIRC you left before the XF conversion. Let me know if you have any questions about the tools. Just be aware there is no modcp anymore. Everything is pretty much inline.

It's very different. I feel as I will have learn afresh. It's like moving to different town or something!

The Droid Incredible. That was a great phone and Mega Thread started by Armoniac. That brought me here, too.

I still have a fully functional OG Droid kicking around. Until last fall it was my daily alarm clock. That phone is a rock.

OG Droid was a great phone. I immediately switched from the Incredible to the Droid X. That fone had the best reception of any I've ever owned!

No way, Moto was a beast... And lets's face it, the Droid™ campaign moto and VZW did, and then the release of the powerhouse Incredible, cemented Androids place.

Talkin about antiques (not me or you Olbriar) 😄 I pulled out my original Droid X from Moto. Remember the national scavenger hunt to find a hidden free phone? I missed it by 30 seconds. But it still powers up. I carry it in my bag just in case, although I don't know why. I switched to T-mo. This thing is so tiny compared to my lgv30.

And welcome back Steven! Go find Han and ban him. Just for old times sake.

The Droid X was probably my favorite phone ever. The reception was fantastic and I learned how to root with it. It was solid metal. It was a tank.

Ty for the warm welcome!

Is this thread really still going after nearly a decade??? Ughhhhhh I still have Ginny the Galaxy Nexus! I haven't powered her up in a long time, though. I also have D the OG Droid (and her twin sister! One has a flat keyboard, the other is more... full-figured) and Maxine the Moto X Pure. But hi to all of my fellow survivors of the Epic Pre-Release Thread, and the nearly-as-epic Watering Hole, for the phone that promised to bring Google and Samsung together in one marvelous device... but turned out to be the rejected stepchild that each company pushed on the other for support...

:p

NO! Not the thread we never thought would end, because the phone's release kept getting delayed over and over!

:D

But yeah, I see the photo on the last page of that thread, with one happy Steven - courtesy of his "fellow Nexicans" LOL

Yeah y'all paid for my phone! I almost forgot! I'm still grateful!

At the time you had nothing in common with your current self-imposed tagline. You were the Moderator who somehow managed to keep us all from half-killing each other - or as close to that as can happen in a forum thread! You were a master cat herder, a referee, a therapist and the anchor in the storm. And we will always be grateful for YOU

:)

Okay, enough gushy stuff... I feel a group hug coming on...
