Change Screen Sensitivity

After installing some tempered glass, i am having the age old challenge of lowered screen sensitivity on my Galaxy S8. Cant seem to find a way to change anything in settings other than changing the hardpress home button setting which as far as i can tell has done nothing. I even tried a screen calibration app that also seemed to do nothing.

Anyone know any work arounds or fixes? Maybe another app you know that works or something that can be changed at a deeper level than I have gone. (rooting???)

I've never seen a way of adjusting screen sensitivity in Samsung devices. This is something that's determined at the hardware and firmware system level. And Samsung sets it as optimal for how the phone comes from the factory. Your third-party glass protector is adding extra thickness and desensitising it. The phone would need to be rooted, and an appropriate custom ROM made probably

No user installed app can change it AFAIK.

I've never used any extra screen protectors myself, other than what the manufacturers puts on phones when new. But I usually peel them off eventually, as they become icky and unpleasant with use.

Any "screen calibration" apps you see, are probably either plecibo snake-oil, or were intended for resistive type screens that might require calibration

Only a few selected phones have this setting, it's about to use your phone while wearing gloves.

Also to help with screen protectors.
My S5 had it, so does my S9 so the S8 should have it as well.
If the setting either isn't available or doesn't work, I'd agree it's time for a different screen protector.

My S7 doesn't have it.

Some cheap tempered glasses don't work well with the Gorilla Corning glass used on the phone screen. The good one shouldn't retain fingerprint or oily stuff.

Good to know. I would be interested in exploring the rooting option if you know of any information i could find on this, specifically in relation to this issue.

Also i am unfamiliar with the acronym AFAIK.
