I have a LG Premier Pro LTE. My S8 died via battery catching fire (long story), so until I can afford another S8 or better I have no choice but to deal with this phone. It's a good phone, but I want to root it.

Anyone have any idea on how this can be rooted? I have tried Kingo and King root. Any other possible ways to root this device?

Sorry for posting this on this forum, but I could not find a Premier Pro Forum

so if you ever plan on rooting your device i always head to Xda Developers Forum first. It is a forum for developers and is a place where they will offer their goodies to the public. if your phone is rootable, it will be posted there.

after doing some research for you, it looks like at the moment nobody is working on developing your phone. so even if you get it rooted their will be no custom roms for you to play u with......and for me that is the best thing about rooting is the custom roms.

just remember no devs=no fun.

Yes it is a tracfone. But apparently this phone is unlocked because it has a T-Mobile SIM in it. And this phone was designed to work off of Verizon Wireless towers.

Specs
Android 8.1 with May 2019 security patch
1.4 Ghz Snapdragon 425
2GB ram
16GB onboard storage
Here are the Specs

S**t, a Verizon phone.... now I truly am concerned I might not be able to do much. Let me know when you have the phone in hand, we can try some fastboot commands first to make sure we have all our grounds covered. After all, a recent Verizon phone I was working on was accidentally left open to bootloader unlocks by the company, maybe we can get lucky again...

I'm gonna post this up here real quick in case I pass out soon since it's late here now. When your phone is plugged in go to Developer Options and enable two things, enable ADB access and check the Allow OEM Unlocking option. If either one of these is grayed out let me know

Then plug in to a PC and open a command prompt and run adb reboot bootloader. If this works it'll bring you to a weird looking bootloader screen, if you can take a picture of this and post it here or list what the options are that you're able to do. If it does nothing or just reboots your phone normally let me know too

Once in bootloader mode if you get there, run fastboot oem unlock. Try running it 2 or 3 times in a row and see if it does anything. If that doesn't work try the same thing but with fastboot flashing unlock. If neither of these work let me know at this point too, we might have to try and request a key from LG

I know that allow OEM unlock is enabled along with USB Debugging is enabled. As for enable ADB access, I have never seen that. My understanding is that USB Debugging covers ADB access as long as it is enabled. Which it is. When I get done work tonight at 9pm CST I will give what you suggested a shot and see where it leads and will let you know what it says.

Yes USB Debugging is that, sorry I should've said it that way. Do not take any more OTA updates for now until you try this out (doubt there's an update for the phone getting pushed today but just to be safe)

When I put in "adb reboot bootloader" (Without the quotes) it just reboots the phone.
