I bought a power strip that comes with built-in USB ports. They both charge at 3 amp. Is this going to harm my phone's battery in any way?

Not likely. While the charger will provide 3 amps, the phone shouldn't call for it if it can't handle it.

I agree, your phone's charging circuitry will only be pulling in what it needs. It's not a matter of what's available will be pushed into your phone and fry the battery. When it comes to USB charging, more is better so with 3A you should be seeing shorter charging time than with a 2A charger. Get a good, higher quality USB cable too, all those too-common, budget, thinner-gauge cables are just not as capable.

You had some extra spaces in the syntax. I fixed it, but it's odd that it should insert spaces.
I'm going ask admins to look into it.
