I just bought this phone from eBay, and immediately upgraded it to Gingerbread. I want a tool, not an life-absorbing activity or hobby.
I'm accustomed to my iPhone, which is totally different, and, for me, intuitive. This is sooooo different, so I've spent two days obsessed with learning and trying to "get" android. So far, it just doesn't work the same as my mind. I'll mention a couple of things:
1. I'd really like to be able to answer the phone. But it won't let me. What settings should I have in the phone to permit me to actually answer it?
a. Got a call and it lighted up. I pressed answer. Nothing. Kept pressing answer. Nothing. Finally pressed ON button and it disconnected.
b. While on a call, call came in. I hung up and pressed answer. Again and again. Nothing. I had to call back.
Sigh. What good is a phone to me, if I can't answer it?
2. When I am talking to someone, a loud voice from the phone announces: YOU HAVE TWO NEW EMAILS!!!!! WTF? I have sounds disabled and silenced . . . supposedly. What can I do to shut her up? Further, I do NOT want my emails uploaded UNLESS I ask for them, thus I have sync email disabled in settings. But the phone (it's becoming a personified evil enemy instead of a tool! <g>
I have so many other questions, but I just can't focus on them unless I find a way to answer the phone!
