Hi Folks,

I just got a Galaxy Grand and I want to put pictures to the contacts on my SIM card.

I go to the picture, put define as, contact photo, and then when I get to the list of contacts it only shows the contacts from my gmail account, and not the ones on my SIM card.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the help folks!

Welcome, Jav!

The contact must first be a "Google/Gmail" contact to have pic added for transfer to SIM card.

Make any SIM contacts Google (Gmail) contacts. Then you can add not only photos, but email and physical addresses, notes, birthdays, lotsa stuff. SIM contacts are limited to names and numbers. Plus, Google contacts are always automatically backed up and easily transferred to new devices.

SIM contacts are old, outdated technology. Avoid using it.

For a contact to be a Google contact and a SIM contact you must have saved it twice, once in each location.

The only way to add picture to your contacts in Android 9 is:

1.Transfer all your contacts from SIM to Phone.

2.Open a contact to which you want to add picture.

3.Push “Edit”, on top of the screen, left you will get 2 choices – Phone and Sim.

4.Chose “Phone” and push the colored circle under it with camera picture.

5.From the screen that will open, chose “Gallery”, chose a picture from the “Gallery” that you want to add.

6.Resize the picture or chose “Done”.

7.Than, on the new screen that will open, chose “Save”.
