Google Search Gives Top Results Only

Whenever I Google something lately, I only see the top results. I get at most two results and then I see similar questions people have asked. That's it. It seems it's cutting off the page, as in half of the page is blank and sometimes right in the middle of a sentence on the results.
I've tried clearing cache for the Google app, tried restarting phone, tried restarting in safe mode with the same result, tried updating the Google app. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm on wifi or not, either way I get the same result. Any ideas?

Have you tried clearing the data for the Google app as well as the cache?

What phone do you have?

I have a Samsung S9. No honestly I didn't clear data. I wasn't sure if it would also erase any saved passwords and frankly that would not be good if so... Probably should I guess? I think most of the passwords are also saved on Chrome browser so might not be as bad as I thought.

Maybe try uninstalling updates to the Google app and see if that makes a difference.

Okay. So I tried something else that might give someone a clue, as what you said about using another browser made me think. I clicked on More at the bottom of the search screen and then clicked Use Without An Account. And it worked! Would that likely mean a recent update screwed it up or not? Not sure what lead me to think that might work, but it does.

I tried uninstalling updates now. It did not help. Only thing that helps is if I choose More and then search Without An Account option. It's so odd. It worked before, just days ago. I have to wonder if it's the phone as had an update I think around the same time. Then again surely many others would complain if so, and I haven't run across anything searching for those with the same issue.

I have the exact same problem with my Samsung S9. It started just days ago.
It works if I click Use without an account.
Any luck finding a solution?

Nope not as of yet. From a couple other forums (Reddit & Google Search Community,) there are rumors a patch of some kind is in the works. Nowhere I've read has a solution and nothing I've done helped. Though, I take that back, one or two people said removing your account from the phone and then adding it back helped, but not permanently. I tried that before I read about it and it never worked for me.

That's interesting that both of you are having the same problem with the same phone. I wonder if there might be something in Samsung's software interfering?

In any case, since it seems to be affecting a number of other users as well I'd suggest reporting the problem through More > Send feedback inside the Google app.

I wondered the same thing actually. I noticed my software had done an update on the 13th of July. This happened shortly after I think. I mostly ignored it as just temporary until it wasn't so temporary anymore. 😂😂😂
