OnePlus 6 How to set Google sync on or off.

Hi guys. I've got a OnePlus 6 with Android 9 and OxygenOS 9.0.4.

How do I alter the sycn settings for my Google account? Tried searching but can only find there should be toggles. But can find them.

Not knowing just which email app you're using, check in the app's settings to see if there's an option to change how often your email client checks with your online Gmail account. Just as an example, I use the K-9 Mail app and there's an option to change how often it will update itself, with settings between 1 to 60 minutes.

The screenshot was form the account settings in android, not an email program. There are usually toggles to switch sync on or off. Mine just said top to sync but nothing happened.
Another factory reset brought it back to normal. Not sure how that kind of system glitch happens.

So the issue is now solved. Found somebody on androidcentral describing the same problem on a Nokia 6.1 ...

OK but you did initially ask about 'altering' your email settings, that's done between settings in your email client (the app you're using) and settings in your online account. Enabling/disabling the sync itself is done through the Settings >> Accounts menu in your device.
