Help Sorry, Process System isn't responding

Hi all,
so I powered on my Ascend Mate 7 this morning after charging it for a while, and up popped a message:

Sorry, Process System isn't responding. Would you like to close it? Wait/Ok.

But when you try tapping the screen to select an option it is unresponsive and will not respond to any input. Also when I try to restart the device to bypass this it is just rebooting to the same message and is completely unresponsive. Is there any way of fixing this other than buying a new phone? Any solutions or ideas appreciated. Thanks in advance
