Can someone help with problems I have with my new Mi Band 4, connected to Mi Note 7 phone and the Mi Fit app?

I don't get Notifications of text messages or emails received(with vibrating) though some messages are shown when Notifications is tapped. Notification is on in Settings (in MyFit). Vibration is on and does work sometimes.
At More I cannot 'swipe left' to get Options such as choice of watch faces ---- are there other options there also? ---- in fact swiping left has no effect anywhere, usually
I think I saw some other options such as Reset before, but no longer. If I did find Reset I would give it a try

Wait until the battery dies, all your ptoblems will be solved when it is booted again. I had the same issue with my mi band 3.

Thank you, I have made some progress but not with receiving Notifications. I have just sent myself a test message from my PC ----- it was received OK on my phone but no response from the Band, no vibration and no appearance in Notifications, where there is an old message still displayed.
The progress is that I have solved the 'swipe left' to choose a new face option, as a result of finding that the instruction in the manual to 'swipe left' at More is simply wrong. After swiping right instead I have finally been able to install a replacement third party watch face, with large clear characters and a report of the state of the battery charge --- my two essentials.
In addition to the important Notifications issue there are two others. What are the bright lights on the bottom of the device which appear at times and must be draining the battery, and can the Band really respond to spoken instructions as the manual claims? So far it has ignored my attempts (fortunately not made in public).

The light is not an issue , i hope its not appearing all the time , in specific option its start to lighting up. And yes sometime these band do't work , may be due to its internal issues, just reset it once .

Check you have notifications for that particular app turned on and verify your Bluetooth connection to the device. The problem should be there
