What keyboard are you using for everyday text input?

I've tried both the Samsung stock keyboard and Google's Gboard.

Of the 2, I prefer Google's.

I can press a button to switch between writing and typing. However, it doesnt automatically start handwriting mode when the S-Pen is pulled out. Samsung's Keyboard does.

The pen strokes in Google seem heavier than in Samsung's, in this respect, I prefer samsung, and in Samsung's it's a 2 button press to switch keyboards, here Google wins. Also in Google's fawow is that it doesn't convert the text as quick as Samsung The text also shifts left in Google and up in Samsung.

Either I have yet to find it, or neither have a ruled page theme to write over.

Do any of you use a keyboard other then Samsung's or Google's?

I've made a small video showing how to turn on handwriting, if you are not sure how to:

Not a Note user, but I tend to use either SwiftKey (better predictions, with a couple of exceptions) and GBoard (better at contractions like e.g. and i.e., which for some reason SwiftKey never learns and is a complete pain with, which is why I sometimes switch to GBoard).

I've occasionally used the handwriting of the Samsung keyboard on my old Note10.1, but on a phone I can thumb type faster and more accurately. Of course it might have improved on a more modern version.

Well at the moment I'm sticking with Gboard for both Swype and handwriting input.

Samsung's own offering is quite good, but I think Gboard is better, especially on the handwriting side which this reply has been written with.

Up until now, I've been happy with Gboard on my previous devices, and not felt the need to use Swiftkey or anything else.

It seems that only Samsung and Google offer handwriting support.
