Old email addresses won't delete

I am updating several email addresses, but If I delete the email, it doesn't work. I save the updated contact, but when I see the contact, the address is still the same. I have to delete the entire contact and then add it as a new one, that's a royal pain.

I'm using the newest Moto and the newest Android version.

HELP.

PS. if I try to edit the contact a second time, the address doesn't show up there.

check and see what accounts you have saved the contacts under. i had mine contacts to save on both my samsung acct and google and was having similar issues. if you delete one account, you should be fine.

edit:
sorry that was for just the contact app, not the email app. what email app are you using?

ok so you have to open the contacts app then as well. you can save a new contact from an email within gmail. so my original post here in this thread still stands. in gmail you can chose to add the email to the contact list. i have never updated contact info this way, as most of my friends do not change email addresses. but does it ask you to update the contact? or does it just add it to your contacts list as another entry?
