What is the best privacy cleaning app?

i used to have lookout, but i canceled the premium service as it turns out it is not necessary. as of right now i'm not using anything. all i'm using is my common sense. as long as you are careful and you read the permissions on the apps before downloading, you should be fine. also just make sure that you know where you are going on the net while web surfing, been this way for about 5 years and i never had any malware, adware or anything of worry happen.

Any app that has the words privacy and cleaner in it are nothing but snake oil, they take your privacy and bloat your device.

I use a couple of things.

First off, you are correct to stay away from any security, booster, battery, memory, RAM app or anything of the like.

Get a firewall app.

NetGuard (F-Droid) is a great FOSS firewall.
A more simple but effective one is NoRoot Firewall (ApkPure, UpToDown, Google PlayStore, etc.)

These will prevent network access to apps that don't need it or that you want to restrict for any given reason.

Second, if your OS is 7 or older, you can go into Storage, select Phone, and clear the cache.

That is where a ton of junk is stored.
Newer OS do not have a one tap cache cleaner built in like that.

Third, there are a very few cleaners that actually work.

I am lucky enough to have found one before it changed and had ads included.

Don't be alarmed, a few extra icons may appear on your homescreen, just delete them. All functions are available within the app.

As it is an older version, there are a few options that may not be applicable to your device.

What it does have, however, is an extensive cache cleaner (different from the built in one, if you have one), a duplicate finder (very useful, if you ever need one), game launcher (clears running services when starting apps (not just for games), and a file manager that will order your files from largest to smallest (makes big files easier to find).

You will need to give it certain permissions, like when you first try to use the cleaner and the notification minder.

I do not recommend giving it the accessibility or app useage permissions, as these will cause the app to run constantly in the background.

"Privacy cleaner" is a broad but vague term. What exactly do you want the app to do?

Maybe just Google Play Protect as well as Google Play Store is enough?

No, absolutely not.

I put the applicable sources for a reason.

Google Protect won't do anything except spy on your device and try to make you paranoid about any app that did not come from the Play Store.

This is stupid, because the Google Play Store is the largest purveyor of scam apps and malware/adware apps on the internet.

Almost every single app on the Play Store has some sort of Google tracking inside of it.

So that is the last option for anyone interested in a cleaning app that actually works and doesn't violate privacy concerns.

Lol if you prioritize you privacy maybe you should do the cleaning on your own sir =)))) But if you insist, maybe my suggestion is AVG cleaner, because it is an built-in app on my Xperia XZ2. So I think somehow it can be trusted
