Hello guys :) first post ever.

So i bought this new Vivo iQoo Pro from china (CN ROM this brand doesn't have Global ROM) and everything works as expected, including performance for games (downloaded .apks), the fingerprint reader works great, and overall everything is fine, except for one detail, and it is i don't have any google apps (normal on a CN ROM) including play store, chrome, etc. How do i install these apps on this phone? Thanks in advance :)

I believe this phone is only available in China so far. Which means really there is no Google for it.

Basically there are two ways of installing Gapps onto PRC version phones:

1. The device is rooted, a custom recovery is installed, and a suitable Gapps package is flashed. However that does not exist for this phone. Most China phones these days are not easily rootable, and there's not the dev interest in them as there once was.

2. The manufacturer provides a modified version of the Google Play Store for optional installation by their own app stores. Vivo, Oppo, Huawei, and Xiaomi used to do this for some of their PRC version phones. But that seems to have gone away, presumably because it was never officially sanctioned by Google. Plus it needed a VPN to use it in China, and it's now illegal to use a VPN here.

I actually did this on my Huawei Mate 10 when I first got it, and that still works fine. However as I do use Google, my next phone will most likely be bought in the UK, and not China

So at the moment, I think you might be SOL, if you want Google on a Vivo IQoo Pro

Hes a long time member of AF and I consider him my friend. His knowledge and and has the experience. He also lives in China. If you add it all together? mikedt is your man :)

PS: I live in Texas, with that said, hes usually online from around 10pm -??? . Im sure he'll see you OP.

Hi, good morning/afternoon/evening my friend. I'm happy to give advice about China phones, that is my specialty of course. :)

yeah be careful when using apk's. always get them from trusted sites only. a lot of apk sites are notorious for malware and adware being attached to the apk's you download and install.

i would go with what @Dannydet suggested.
