How to remote control a distant android phone on a local android phone

Hi,

I need to remote control a distant android phone (say phone-A) on a local android phone (say phone-B). Both phones are NOT connected to Internet nor WiFi network. I have been googling several days reading documents searched but can't find solution. Would AirMore be my choice? Using Hotspot or Bluetooth? But the former sill needs WiFi connection.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

If they are not connected to the Internet and are outside Bluetooth range how do you imagine that they communicate?

Hypothetically you could do a few simple, pre-determined things if the remote phone has software on it that can be triggered by the receipt of a particular text message (assuming it is connected to a cellular network), but these days you may need the app that acts on the message to be set as the default text message app for that to work.

As noted, unless you own both phones it will be illegal anyway.

Hi,

What I intend to achieve is for taking photos and video, using phone-B to control phone-A, the camera. The screen of phone-A will be cast on phone-B so that I can operate the function/feature of phone-A, the camera, on the screen of phone-B. Both phones are NOT connected to Internet.

In my previous searching I was aware that it is possible using WiFi. But on open ground there is no WiFi service provided. I wonder whether it would be possible using Bluetooth to get the job done.

“open space" do you have a line of sight view of the target phone you want to control?

If so, are you familiar with the use of yagi antennas at 2.4GHz, and SMT electronics modding?

Thanks for your advice.

The phones are mounted at each end of a monopod of about 3 feet in length.

It would be complicate to me carrying those devices to outdoor. If Bluetooth couldn't solve my problem I would prefer using Tethering technology;

You mentioned you are looking for an app to do that..you could dl Alfred Camera in both phones..Alfred is mostly video based..but also takes photos..

If that's not the kind of app you are looking for you can try the one I've included in the picture for you(exhibits1)..

Casting the screen will be impossible without an internet connection (whether mobile or WiFi doesn't matter).

Activating the camera could be done using SMS. I just checked and Tasker still says it has the option to trigger an action on receipt of an SMS (though I've not tested whether it works), and taking a photo is one of the actions you can select. Other automation apps (such as MacroDroid) may also be able to do this. But of course that does require that the phone is connected to a cellular network, even if the internet connection is turned off, and you wouldn't get to see the remote phone's screen. So I don't think this is what you are looking for.

One phone as camera and another one as viewer not for casting screen from one phone to another phone. Anyway I'll subscribe their forum later to see whether there are other suggestions.

Remote One-Assistant v25 is NOT on "Google Play" of my Samsung S9+ mobile phone. Instead "Screen Share-OneAssistant" is there. I suppose it also need Internet or WiFi to work.

For ON/OFF taking photo/video my Yunteng monopod already has this function.

Hi all,

Performed following test;

Internet access is a MUST !

Phone-A
Host Phone (with SIM card to connect Internet)
(enable "Mobile Hotspot Tethering)
install
TeamViewer Control Remote Device

Phone-B
Client Phone (to be controlled)(without SIM card)
install
TeamViewer QuickSupport
and
Add-On: Medion X5004

Remote-control Phone-B on Phone-A works without problem.

It is possible reversing them, Phone-A as Client Phone and Phone-B as Host Phone.

I'm still struggling to find a solution with Bluetooth, i.e Phone-to-Phone without Internet access.
