Clipboard app that works?

I want a clipboard app that ACTUALLY works.
I've got Android 9 running on my Xiaomi 9T.

I tried 2 apps, both with 1m downloads.
Neither worked.
One of them put a notice up saying it no longer worked because of settings in latest Android.

Just wondering if there was anything that worked?

Thanks.

EDIT: I have Swiftkey... this is 'supposed' to have a clipboard facility. It doesn't work. I've tried asking support for help (I have a paid version), no one ever replies.

Hi @OM2, I can recommend you have a look at Clipper+.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fi.rojekti.clipper

I've used it for about 6 years now on an HTC M7, HTC M9 HTC 10 and currently a Google Pixel 3a and have found it very easy to use. Some reviews say that Android 10 has 'broken it' but the Pixel 3a runs Android 10 and I've not experienced any problems.

I've got the paid for version but I can't remember how much it was.

It is certainly worth looking at.

That's the first one I tried.
Just tried again.
Still doesn't work.
It says:

"Your device is incompatible

Unfortunately Google has removed background clipboard access for apps like Clipper in this version of Android. Clipper will not be able to save clippings in the background."

Damn.
Anyone else?

That's a bit of a mystery bearing in mind that it was only a couple of months ago that I installed it on my Pixel 3a, and it's working just the same as it does on the HTC 10 (Android 8.0.0.).

Having said that, I'm not sure exactly what 'not be able to save clippings in the background' means. All I know is that it continues to do what I want/need it to do  .

That maybe explains all. LOL.
Download and install from Google Play store - let me know if it works.

I would only use external APKs on devices I don't need to worry about.
My phone, I use everyday and have all sorts of information that I don't want to risk having compromised.

I don't understand what you mean by "That maybe explains it all".

The Clipper+ that I have on both my devices were each downloaded from Play Store. That is why I'm puzzled by the response you get.

I was pointing out that the latest version is 2.4.17, but on apkmirror.com there are earlier versions which you could try.

I have used apkmirror.com at least twice in the past for apps that were no longer available on Play Store. One was 'HTC Internet' and the other was 'Quick Office Pro'.

As far as I am concerned the site is safe so it's up to you to give it a go.

:)
