So I'm using a Moto E5 plus .. and sometimes when I'm typing or jus navigating on the screen... It stops working. I touch the screen but nothing happens..

Example. I will b texting a message and during the text as type on the keyboard it stops working.. like it freezes... I have to wait a min.. and countiue typing.. or I can turn the screen off and turn back on and it will b fine for a while...

This happens no matter what I'm doing. Text. Web search.. open app. Close app.. make calls.. anything.

Has this happened to anyone else.. help appreciated. Thx.

It sounds like your processor is busy causing the device to freeze. Typically this is caused by an app running in the background, stretching your RAM too thin. You may be able to go into your memory options in settings and see if there's one app that stands out as using a lot of memory. Note: this would be Memory not Storage. If you have a high draw app you could try putting it to sleep. Some might say to force stop the app but force stop is temporary and if your device has the option for putting apps to sleep that lasts a bit longer. Alternately you could try Safe Mode. Safe Mode prevents apps from opening or running on their own in the background. It's a good way to see if the issue is being caused by a bad app. Typically to get into SM press and hold the power button until the option to Power Off, Restart, and whatever your 3rd option might be, then press and hold Restart until the option to start in Safe Mode appears. Run the device in SM for a few hours to a day, whatever the longest is that you've used the phone before seeing the issue, and see if the issue occurs. If the issue doesn't occur then it is most likely an app issue.

Figuring out which app is the problem can sometimes be difficult but I'd start with whatever apps you found with the highest use on the Memory page. You could try putting them to sleep, disabling them or uninstalling them if you find they are just running needlessly in the background.

If the issue persists in Safe Mode there's a higher chance that there is something system wise going on. 8 out of 10 times it is an app though. If you have problems, even in SM reply back and I'll try to help you from there.
