I'm certain that's a hardware problem, so it's unlikely you can fix it yourself. It isn't one I've seen before, so I'm not confident of exactly what is wrong, my guess is that it will require repair, probably replacement of the display (sometimes display problems can simply require reseating a connector, but I think it unlikely that a loose connector would produce the pattern you are seeing here).
