Any reptile/amphibian owners out there?

*raises hand*

I have 5 leopard geckos, 4 snakes and a Greek tortoise (named Turtle, of course). I also have a parakeet and 2 dogs.

I'll see what I have for recent pics...

Edit: Tim says hi

I had a chameleon.. the variety that was available for purchase at a circus back in the 60's. My neighbor friend managed to buy one and sneak it home but later was busted. :) I inherited the chameleon which I named Leezard and we hung out for years together. He never had a proper habitat. I fashioned a collar for him that was attached to a spool of kite string that sat on my bed post. He had the run of the house and seemed to like it that way. During the summer months he had the run of the yard a few times a week. Sadly one day I followed the string only to find an empty collar. I suspect he enjoyed his freedom but I missed him. He was a great pet/buddy.

Beautiful leopard geckos. I have heard they make excellent pets. Post some pics of your snakes and turtle sometime if you can. What kind are they?

I have 2 Irian Jaya carpet pythons (that's Ira) and my son has a Corn snake and a Brazilian Rainbow boa (that's Reddy). They are really mine since he hasn't lived here in forever.

And there's Turtle, he's a Greek tortoise.

I have two geckos.
One is a Leopard Gecko (Lexy). She is nocturnal so she sleeps in her cave during the day and in the evening she’ll emerge and do a sort of patrol around her vivarium. I have had her for over five years now and she very quickly developed a sort of curiosity for anything outside her vivarium. If i put my hand in she will climb on and go on a search up my arm until she reached my shoulder where she will sit until I put her back.
My other gecko is a Crested Gecko (Rusty). I bought him out of pity from a pet shop local to me. He is also nocturnal so he sleeps during the day and during the night he will jump/crawl around his terrarium making lots of noise looking for tasty mealworms. He isnt too fond of being handled and most of the time spends his evening perched on his log watching for potential prey to wriggle around. So there you have it a small look into the lives of my two very different pets.

My helper has a...a big...a big THING. [Get your minds out of the gutter, guys! My helper's female, and I'm talking about her pet. :D]

He's a winged...no...shit!, I never can remember what it's called. It's a big reptilian thing! He's very sweet, although I decline to have him in my bed. My helper says he's perfectly harmless, but, yeah, I don't know...there's no way I'm leaving him alone with Joy Noelle!

I have an albino ball python with pink eyes, Atlas. It's one of the most beautiful snakes I've ever seen in my entire life. I got it recently, so I'm a new reptile owner, but this is so cool. I decided to get it because I found an article on Reptile Pets Rock about snake pets, and this one caught my attention. It took a while to find it though, because they're pretty rare, but I wanted specifically this type because of the colors. Have you ever seen a snake with pink eyes? It hypnotizes me, to be honest.

Speaking of pics @MoodyBlues, let's see what the heck you are talking about, now I'm very curious.
Ha ha! I'll get you one as soon as my helper gets home. (I NEVER go into her room unless it's an emergency...let's just say it kind of reminds me of my daughter's room, when she was a petulant young teen who hadn't become a neat freak yet. Her room was at the other end of the house, and we referred to it as "the black hole.") I'll have my helper snap some and I'll post them later. I think he's a bearded dragon....? maybe?

Could be. They are very popular and 'interactive' if you will. My geckos are and one of my snakes for sure but beardies are known as reptile dogs!
It's also entirely possible your daughter knows my son, or at least they were in the same room club :D

Yes, that's how my helper describes hers--and yes, he is a bearded dragon. I don't know why but I always get confused about that. Here, as promised, are pics:

She's not sure how old he is.

Oh no!

But I have to say, my daughter and son-in-law are fastidious housekeepers. I think it was just a stage she went through, petulant teen, teen angst, teen...whatever. It was funny, though, having our own personal "black hole" and everything. :D

Did your son grow out of it like my daughter did?
