Is there a way to not get the small white message notification at the top when the phone detects a spam message ("spam detected")?
Its very annoying when I think I have a new message, only to find out its spam detected.
I have a pixel 4a 5g/Android 11.

Can you post a screen shot of the icon? Not sure I've seen it before. Is it carrier specific?

I've attached a screenshot of the white message icon. No, its not carrier specific. Its the default message icon that android 11 uses

Ah, I see now. I misunderstood and thought you were referring to spam calls and not spam texts. It seems to me, although people with more pixel experience could know better, that the text notifications are 'all or none.' It would be a great feature request to be able to distinguish between types of texts. Sorry, I guess I am no help.

It is actually Google Messenger that does the spam thing as I get it on my Galaxy S20.

In the Message app, when looking at the list of conversations, hit the three dots on the right end of the search box and choose Settings | Notifications | Behavior, sound & more and toggle off "Spam Protection." I think that is the setting but I need to get a spam text to be sure.
