Question about OnePlus 8 phone

Firstly, what are your thoughts on this phone? Personally, I like the battery size. Forgive my ignorance, but what the heck do you do with a 48 megapixel camera? (The first person to say "take pictures" gets banned!
I will say, now that you are starting to see 8k recording, you have to high much higher MP numbers. Plus, high MP pics are able to be zoomed in adn still see good detail. But make no mistake, it is mostly marketing. Pixel camera are a testament to that.
But, these phones sound incredible!
I saw they *should* be under $1000. Which is cool, but it more expensive than all other OnePlus phones.

Fair, but that is why you need those bigger and bigger MP counts. Plus youtube and Netflix and amazon look amazing in 4k

Dunno, without reorganising my living space I don't have anywhere to put a TV big enough that 4k or 8k will make much difference. So 4k or 8k capabilities aren't really a selling point to me personally.
(Actually this semi-luddite attitude works for me. I did move to HD but skipped the 720p stage in TVs, sat out the silly 3D hype, and with 8k being pushed now I can probably add 4k to the list of "reasons you MUST replace your TV" that I've successfully ignored...).
