First of all I am new to Android, I have this Android TV Set-box, I'd like to wipe the OS (Firmware?) and install a generic android TV on it, I am trying to find the proper firmware for it, but I can't figure out the manufacture or model of this hardware, here is a photo of the board, if it helps:
The reason I'd like to do this is that the existing Firmware provided be the vendor of this device is running an app that always starts on boot and I am unable to Uninstall it.
Another reason is that when I install an app from an APK from USB , the app install successfully but upon reboot this app just disappear. so I suspect the firmware is restricted or something that prevent new apps from being installed.
Well there's absolutely nothing on that board to identify who made it, other than it's got a HiSilicon Hi3716 SoC. If the firmware is hard-coded to always run an app on boot and prevents the installation of other apps, It could be a device that's been custom made for a particular purpose and/or client, and there is nothing else ready made you can install on it. You could try rooting it, if you got nothing else to lose and you don't mind if it gets bricked.
There are public Chinese development sites and forums that cover the HI3716 SoC, but you'd have to read Chinese of course and be competent at Android ROM and/or LInux development.

I am very interested in IPTV boxes. The links are extracted from the box.
Unfortunately, I dont have a any firmware I give him, but I am doing my best to get the standard firmware or making a solution/way to be able to unlock the box.
I have contacted HiMedia, hoping they are willing to provide standard firmware for these custom media boxes.
I will keep updating this thread, when I get some news.
It would be great if you could help with unlocked firmware.
My way to unlock it (I have ATN3000) was following:
1) root it using kingoroot
2) uninstall system app called ATNStatistic
3) uninstall ATN live app
4) uninstall firmware upgrade app
By the way I succeeded reflashing an ATN1000 v3 box using standard firmware from another HiMedia box.
Everything is functioning except the front display keeps saying boot. And when powering off from remote, it shuts down keeping the front display powered on saying boot and blue led lit. You cannot power it up again from remote. You have to turn power off from the back.
Any solution for this?

which ATN3000 do you have? there are 2 models, ATN3000ii and ATN3000.
you don't need to use kingoroot.
the easier method, if you're only doing a single box here or there:
1) flash the factory ATN firmware again
2) power it on and make sure it's connected to your network and got an ip, doesn't matter if it's wifi or lan (lan may be quicker)
3) use a free tool called Android Commander, once you open it, click on "Wifi Mode" even if you're not connected via wifi, and enter your box's ip address and click connect
4) when it connects, look at the far bottom left corner, it will say something like "Device: disconnected", click on it, and click the OK button
5) now you're connected to your box, and you can uninstall/install whatever apps you like.
the rest is pretty much self explanatory, if you still need help with the remaining steps, i can send you screenshots.
the above steps are ok to do on couple of boxes, but it's a pain to be doing many boxes; if you have many boxes that need this process done, i would customize the firmware itself, but in this case, some devices have different firmware, and some are easier to do than others.
Following your instructions, I managed to remove stock apps. Thats cool.
But, when issueing a factory reset, removed stock apps reappear.
I am interested in learning how to modifying the firmware. Can you suggest some turorilas?
Other question:
I have atn box running android 4.4.2, with LED display. Now I have an original atn firmware supporting the device fully, including LED display. And I have a HMD (Himedia) firmware supporting the device, but have 2 isuues:
1) LED display not supported - keeps always saying "boot" and PWR LED lit blue.
2) When powering OFF from remote, it shuts down but:
- PWR LED still lits blue
- LED still says "boot"
- Not possible to power on from remote again. You have to turn back switch off then ON.
Powering OFF the device from android commander, "shuts" it down, but still keep the HDMI signal at last screen!
I dont knw which files I should alter/add to the firmware to make it function correctly. I have tried copying all files from /system/bin from atn firmware to device. It immediately could power off/on from remote, but rebooting it results in boot loop. I have to reflash it to recover to normal operation.

That just seems to be some no-name IPTV box, similar to the OP's thing. Nothing useful to properly identify whomever made it. Many of these cheapo boxes that are assembled(thrown together) by back-street companies, are only contactable via WeChat or mobile phone number published in a local Chinese trade newspaper in Shenzhen.

Thing is Microsoft Windows is easy to obtain and install on a PC, you got "Home" and "Pro" and that's pretty much it. Android must be built and customised to the specific device, which is usually what the device manufacturers and custom ROM devs do. And if we don't know who made it or any technical details about the thing, there's no chance of that.
