How To Move Picture Albums to SD Card

I watched youtube instruction on moving pictures from main internal storage to SD card. But the phone process appears to be backwards. After going to File Manager, opening the folder (in this case a picture album) and selecting everything, Android says "select location to move". That doesn't make sense - it should be asking for location to move to - i.e. the folder in the SD card to which I want to move the albums' selected pictures from internal storage, not asking for the location to move.

Instead of using File Manager, which is garbage, why not just install a better file manager from the play store?
Problem solved.
Solid Explorer, Astro Explorer, the list goes on...

The best file manager is not on the play store you have to google> Es file explorer pro apk

Actually there's a reason ES is not in the Play Store: it was removed due to ad fraud. Prior to that it had a long series of privacy issues. I would strongly recommend people not to use that app, and to avoid that developer completely.

Let's say I look for one in google. Which one is safe and good?

A related question: How doed one move a picture in the SD card to a folder? I somehow got a few test pictures into the SD card. I made a new folder. But when I open up "Camera folder" I can't find the "MOVE" function. It's not in the "three dots".

I found instructions on Internet for moving pictures to SD card using Settings. However, though I created a new folder in the SD card as part of the process, it did not put the pictures there. It just put them somewhere. When I open the SD card it just shows the pictures - but not in the folder I created, which is empty. Can't tell where they are - the just show them.

Yes, I know why google remove this file manager from the play store because it's automatically clicking on ads on behalf of users to generate quick money. Yes, this is wrong but it never harms any user or their privacy you can also use its pro version without any ads I recommend this because this file manager is undoubtedly one of the best and most complete tools.

It never harms my data and I am currently using this file manager. The main purpose of this app ban is because of its Chinese product. harsh reality

@startac4 , probably your best bet as far as functionality and simplicity is to use Simple Mobile Tools.

Specifically in this case Iwould recommend Simple File Manager Pro and Simple Gallery Pro.

Both are paid apps on the Play Store, but are luckily available for free on F-Droid.

The Gallery can move files easilly by itself, but here is the link for the File Manager as well.

Thank you puppykickr. I'll consider them. What I've done in the meantime is to connect the cellphone to my computer and use Windows to move Gallery folders from internal/main storage to SD storage. Only drawback is that the details of the picture - e.g. date - are not available on the phone in the moved pictures in SD storage.

Here is the cool part of what I suggested above.

File Manager Pro allows for simple movement and renaming of files, very much as you do with a stock android device app- but better.

Gallery Pro also allows you to do this, but in a gallery format for easier viewing.

You can access both the internal memory and the SD card seamlessly, unlike with a file manager.

Select your photo, select 'move', it will show you all available folders, choose and tap.
Done.

Together, they work great, as you may someday find a file tgat doesn't outright appear in the gallery.
It will show in the file manager.

Now, as for Nitroshare, simply install it onto all of your devices- PC included.

Set it up, and now you can send files wirelessly and quickly via Wi-Fi to any device on the same Wi-Fi that you have installed Nitroshare.

It doesn't get much easier than this.
