It's a relatively cheap camera and seems that way. Since it operates on 3 AAA batteries, why is there a cord included? Also, how is the sd card (up to 32 gb) inserted? Are there any reviews? Does it keep private photos and videos private?

Yes, cheap (about $30) and you get what you pay for. No optical zoom, digital only. Cable is probably for USB file xfer to PC.
Other than that transfer cable it doesn't look like there is any place for the pictures to go unless you put the SD card into another device.
For this price and quality level I'd expect not-good image quality and likely poor battery life with no rechargeable battery option.
Would not recommend.

Someone already has this. I'm just trying to help. It does have a 32 gb sd card, but where does it go? How is it inserted?

On digital cameras there is usually a cover/door on the bottom or side that opens so you can insert an SD card. It's common to have it in the same spot as the battery.

Manuals for some other Polaroid IS models, but not the IS126. Maybe one is similar:

I thought I found it, but it doesn't seem to hold it right. Wouldn't it close over the sd card somehow? This is just a slot on the surface.

It's possible there isn't a cover, from your picture there looks like two slots on the bottom are about the size of an SD card. If it fits into one of them, does the camera indicate having a card after turning on?

I'm going to try to post photos of this thing on here. They probably won't turn out right because I can't even focus the $#@ phone camera. There's nothing about it under settings, including help. I looked. Remember that this is a Moto G Stylus, and overall a pretty good phone, but the camera sucks. This Polaroid will probably be even worse, but I am neither a millionaire nor a photographer...

I didn't mean to post that many photos. What I am trying to do right now is take the ad card back out of the slot where I thought it was supposed to go. I don't know if it's possible to tell but there is more or less a wide gash on one side where I thought it went. Now it's stuck in there, I guess. How do I get it out and should I have used the bigger holder that comes with it? That's right here. I will try to post another picture from the "manual" that doesn't really show how.

Based on that manual the SD card goes in the bottom of your camera, not the side.

By "bigger holder" do you mean a microSD to SD card adapter? Yes, your camera takes a full size SD card, not a micro.

And if you stuck a micro-SD in the slot it may now be lost inside the works and require disassembling the camera to retrieve it.

Thanks for "fix up the mixup", and that's wonderful news about the sd card. They should be clear about how not to destroy more than $50 of gear. Why don't they have decent manuals instead of what they do provide? The photos should be clear, large, and if possible in color.

Here's take 2. We got a Vivitar DVR786HDv4. The good news is it has a waterproof case. The bad news is that the camera seems to be trapped forever in the case. I'm sure there is some cure for this. While I'm at it, I should probably inquire as to proper insertion of the (different) Sandisk 32 gb sd card.

According to the manual you do not need a microSD to SD card adapter.

That's good to know. If I can ever get this crazy case off it, maybe I can put in the card. It looks as if it would be easy to remove, but it's got a T. rex grip on it. I've tried pushing and pulling from both ends. Here are some pictures of the hinge.

Well, I finally got super lucky with the Polaroid and managed to fish out the sd card with a mini screwdriver(!). Then I put it into the holder and inserted that into the slot. It no longer says anything about not having the sd card. The problem now is how tiny the pictures apparently are. I used the set button in the middle of the circle to max things out, but it still looks pretty bad. Is there a way at least to review photos and videos via Android? From what I've seen of their software, it works only with a computer, which of course I don't have. Would it be possible to play sd swap and put the card in a phone to see images that way? Meanwhile, I have had zero luck coaxing the Vivitar's waterproof case open. Maybe it's time for some mini screwdriver surgery?!

Ok, it turns out that there is a sort of half moon cutout in the latch and the way to open the case is by pulling on that and then...at least this saves some serious damage, including brain. I took the sd card out of the Polaroid and put it in the Vivitar, sure enough with no need for the holder. This one is rechargeable, which means that I have to wait a while before using it or else take a picture very close to where the cord ends. I'm not sure if the quality's going to be much better. At least I've gotten this far. Any additional help would be appreciated.

Yes you can put the SD card into a phone, use it as external storage, and view the pictures taken by the camera. The pics should be located in DCIM/Camera.

Ok, thanks, now I just have to figure out how to focus this thing. Could that somehow be done by using the software? Apparently it's not available for Android, just computers. I don't know why they would assume phone users (almost everyone, I guess) shouldn't have such access.

Every digital camera I've seen had auto focus, although low light or close up shots can sometimes be tricky for the auto focus.

The Metering section on page 35 has options for focusing which might help get better auto focus:
