There is more symbolism in MAGA hats than I realized until today.
Back in the late 1970s Armorers in the USAF wore red hats and were known as "The Red Hats". They issued our weapons, cared for them and were the ultimate authority on firing ranges.

I know many towns and cities in the UK have Roman or Viking names, although I've not noticed that in China.

Naming schemes in the US trend toward it's roots across the water and Native American heritage as well as pre named towns in territories we gained as the nation expanded.

In China it's often places and local geographical features, and points of the compass, e.g. Beijing - Northern Capital, Nanjing - Southern Capital, Jinan - South of the River Ji. Shandong- East of the mountains, Hong Kong - Fragrant Harbour, etc.

Not necessarily chains, but here many restaurants and supermarkets, thrive on local educational establishments. And some students from Licheng No.2 Middle School, seem to be more interested in beer and cigarettes, than textbooks and stationery.
