Hi there I have a tablet which is a few years old now and not 100 per cent sure but think they come with a locked bootloader ive tried versions of king root even pc version its a Huawei T1 8.0 pro build.number T1 821LV100R001C238B003 is there any way of rooting this device. Is still has Android 4.4.4 any help with this thanks

well as far as unlocking the bootloader in the very same thread @Dannydet linked, you find this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...t1-8-0-pro-lte-t1-821l.3262608/#post-65284361

Bootloader unlocking can be officially done through registering on huawei's Chinese website (don't worry just choose english lang) and following "refomatting lock" guide: https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
On custom recovery and ROM: no developer is working on that, as far as I know.

I've started to research it but I have very limited experience on building custom recovery from source and I haven't found one developed to a similar device to port it.

You could try it with KingRoot, but bare in mind you're in an uncharted area with this device, and KingRoot hasn't been supported by its devs for years now.

Basically it's here be dragons...and what could happen:-
1. It may work, and it will root your device, however it might install Chinese spyware and adware(KingUser).
2. it may damage and corrupt the firmware, and brick your device rendering it inoperable.
2. It doesn't do anything, the device can't be rooted by this method.
All of these have been documented on AF in the past for KingRoot.

Remember.... no devs = no fun for this particular Huawei device.

Good luck!
