Migration of App Data from OnePlus5T to Moto G 5G Plus

Hi,

As a Smart Home tech have a few Apps that are logged in to client sites with site specific login info.
Using Google Backup on the OnePlus phone brings the App onto the new Moto G 5G Plus phone but without any of the site information.

What is the best way to completely transfer the app with all its data to the new phone?

Was told that Rooting both phones for access to file systems was the only way. Happy to execute this ideally through a tutorial if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

well you will need to root both devices and use a root app called Titanium Backup to backup and restore apps and their data......never tried to restore a backup that was from a different phone......it should work, but i have no idea how well it will do this.

first off you will need to root both device:

for the OnePlus 5T:

for the moto G 5G:

this one might be more difficult....if you have the US version your might have a harder time unlocking the bootloader. i have not fully read all the posts in the thread.....however, i suggest that you do. it might have more on the bootloader unlocking.

Hi had a look at the OnePlus 5T link and it tells me that Rooting would wipe the device which defeats the purpose of what I need to do as this will delete all the data I need to clone. Any thought?

Thanks, Andrew
