On my galaxy s I have an external sd card which i put a bunch of songs on in a folder called music. When I open up the music player I see my songs but also sound files from various sound boards I have installed, as well as ring tones I have downloaded. How do I fix this so its just music?
Thanks

I believe you can stick a file called '.nomedia' into a folder to stop it from appearing in the music app. So that would be useful for the soundboards.

Also, putting ringtones in a folder called 'ringtones' seems to keep them out of there too on my phone.

I have my folders set as
/media/audio/mp3s
/media/audio/ringtones
/media/audio/alarms
/media/audio/notifications

and it seems to keep everything in the right place.

How do I make that .nomedia file on my Note 8?
