Wifi calling unavailable on Galaxy S+

I left US a little more than a month ago. I was using Verizon. I haven't yet canceled Verizon service. My Galaxy S9+ still has that Verizon Sim card.

I want to at least receive texts on my phone. I need to receive verification text when I forget my password.

I read that wifi calling makes it possible to get texts when I am abroad.

Their guidance was that (1) go to Phone all (2) Click Settings (3) Scroll down to find out "Wifi calling"

But on my phone I could not find "Wifi calling" section. Could it be hidden somewhere?

I'm sure there was a post about this recently, something about needing to setup WiFi calling E911(Emergency 911). But if you're now not in the US, I don't think that's going to help you.

If you just want to receive texts for wherever you are, do you have the option of international roaming with Verizon?

Another possible issue for Verizon WiFi calling service, is your phone a US variant device that was supplied by Verizon?

FWIW I know someone who has a Verizon branded Samsung Galaxy S10, however they're here in China, and using it with a China Unicom SIM. And the Verizon branded Samsung was originally bought in Jamaica.

Well my friend's Samsung has the Verizon logo on the back of the phone. Which I found interesting, because we're in China, and this phone was originally purchased in Jamaica.Of course we're NOT expecting any WiFi calling support from Verizon with this device.

Go into the Settings, and posts what is states in Software Information.

Presumably you've gone through the steps here.
