Exit all apps and get to home screen.

My Note 10 plus, when I turned it on today was in spotify or something, that I did not select at any time, and I cannot get out of it. While trying to do that, I wound up in Bixby, which now I cannot get out of either.

I just want to exit all apps and get to my home screen, so I can start using the phone again. Right now it is just an expensive paperweight.

what do you mean you can't get out of it? you can't exit out of spotify? is it stuck? you can disable bixby in your phone settings.

how often do you turn your phone off? i rarely turn my note 10+ off. i reboot it from time to time.

Yikes! You're going to need a tutor
I suppose. I use my phone mostly for phone calls and text messages. Some day when I'm not super-super busy I plan to learn to use some of the apps. Meanwhile the phone was in Spotify without my action or consent. There was no X or < for me to get out, and my attempts took me to a Bixby screen, I think it's an intro to explore things you can do with Bixby, also with no visible means to exit. So I am in 2 layers of unwanted apps that I cannot exit. My phone has rebooted from time to time because of updates, but I have never tried to reboot on purpose. I have tried holding down the on-off button on the side, but that didn't do anything different from a quick press.

Interesting. One of the ways I tried to exit was swipe up, to no avail. However, if my finger starts at the very bottom of the screen, that works. Also interesting is that a few days ago, if I were in settings, for example, I could tap down symbols and left symbols and back out of where-ever I was. Now the same apps (settings, texting, etc.) don't show those navigation helps. Oh, well, by trial and error, mostly error, I have another way to exit an app. I still hate it when I turn on the phone and immediately find myself in Spotify or some such, that I Did Not Choose! At least now I know a way to get out of it.
