Z Fold3 5G Cameras

Knowing nothing about this flagship, what sort of camera array does the fold have? Did Sammy continue with the array of the S21 Ultra or did they go a different direction? I'm not a huge camera buff but do like the 21 ultra and its zoom abilities.

Cap some pictures and videos and share here if you will. I'm interested to see where Sammy went with the cameras and what sort of quality you guys get.

its pretty much the same cameras that are on the fold 2......so nothing innovative on the camera this time around. i think they were trying to keep costs down trying to draw the note fans over.....it worked for me....lol

I'm somewhat surprised at that price break that it isn't hosting something similar to the S21 Ultra or even better. Cameras aren't my thing but I do geek out on the S21 camera. I think they have just about maxed out the capabilities of cameras on a cell phone. Most of my family pics were captured with a nice DSLR but without effort most cell phones now rival those captures. I can't blame Samsung for not investing big bucks in advancing the camera array on the fold 3... but I am somewhat surprised. It has been such a watermark through the years for phone to up the game.
For what reason.... just numbers to wow the consumer.

The most innovated camera on the Fold 3 is the under the screen camera. It's in the screen when you fold the phone out. It's pretty cool as you don't notice the camera unless you really looking for it...... So watching movies or playing games is great. The only thing is is that the camera is only 4mp and is not the greatest at taking selfies. Mainly because of the glass in front of the camera. It does have software that supposed to clean things up a bit. I heard Samsung said that this camera was really meant for things like Zoom calls and such.

I'm sure next year's Z Fold 4 will have much better cameras (hopefully a periscope telephoto version) and a microSD slot. Samsung is packing a lot of technology into a little bit of space, so compromise is inevitable. Now that they have a proven pattern for their foldable, they can start refining and adding back more of the elements that have been excluded.

totally agree with this. the camera is not bad on the note 20 from what i have seen. and I played with the fold 3 at a verizon store today, i can't really tell on quality from my note 10+ and the fold 3.. both were really good.

this is one of my clients tank that i take care of for work. i had to take a picture of it to show my boss. there is fish in there, i just turned on the lights and the fish were still hiding when the lights came on.

so you see the camera is not bad. this is just me pointing and shooting. i have not messed around with the camera options yet. but you see that the camera is quite good. it is not on the level as the s21 ultra. maybe in the next generation they will add a more robust camera..........but i have no complaints as of yet on picture quality.
