Help Umidigi A9 and lack of ASHA support

I am new to adroidforums, and trying to find information about the lack of ASHA support on the Umidigi A9. Apparently, I can only make new posts on two other Umidigi models - not sure how relevant they are.

What is the best way for me to get started? My goal is to somehow get my Umidigi A9 to stream audio to my hearing devices (Jabra Enhance Pro), which only support BLE and ASHA. The A9 will stream to other hearing aids that support an older audio standard, but not Jabra. I am not opposed to rooting my phone at all (I actually have a backup A9 I can play with), but if there is a simpler solution, I rather not re-invent the wheel. :)

Thoughts/comments?

AF has had discussions about hearing aids and Android devices a few times. And from what I can gather, hearing aids being a medical device, the manufacturers may only support phones they approve for compatibility, like certain Samsungs. And with Umidigi, sold cheap online from China via Wish and Ali Express, I guess is NOT approved by the hearing aid manufacturers.

Other AF members may have more information.

ASHA meaning American Speech-Language-Hearing Association? ..

Yes and Yes (ReSound only supports certain phones, and ASHA means speech-language-hearing Assoc). I get all that. But I am not satisfied with it and want to change it. :) My phone, which is essentially a computer, should be able to be customized to support ASHA - it least, this is my mindset. I am exploring ways to modify the Android kernel as delivered by Umidigi to bake in said support. I was wondering if anyone else in AF had already started down that path.
