Fresh 2.1.2 out

I see it. I think that it replaces that message that we used to see with 1.5. (Been a long time since I had 1.5, so I forget what that said, but something about getting user information or something like that.)

This one says no connection (gotta be quick to see it), so I think it's the same thing, Sprint or HTC tried to bury that old message, but it just seems like it's the phone connecting to whatever it connects to to browse the web.

Maybe I'm blind but I didn't see this discussed...

When I flashed this over DC 2.08.1, it doesn't have Sense and I can't find Sense when I go into settings and applications. I tried downloading the Home Switcher but that doesn't work either. Am I missing something with this ROM? I love Sense so I have to have it. Thanks!

I'd venture to guess the average person probably gets around 95mb free for a clean install.

Eek! Me no likey! With 2.1.1 I got like 135MB free and like to keep my free space above 100MB =X

anyone else getting the problem where you cant use your internet...idk its weird i can make calls and text but my browser wont work and i can update my twitter app and i have to disable network then anable it for it to work again...

is there a fix for this that i havent seen?

I got this a couple of times too, and I have to disable mobile network to get it to work again. I even tried rebooting, but it only starts working when I disable the mobile network. Also when mine starts this, I lose visual voicemail and the market.

I did not get a chance to do the wipe last night, will try to get that done today.

My space available is at 60.82mb, not sure what it was on 2.1.1

did you wipe data and davlik before flashing?

What's the battery life like? 2.1.1 drains my battery in less than 14 hours, which really sucks. And I can't figure out what's causing it. Did anyone else experience this too? And is the battery much better in 2.1.2?

Both 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 seem to be draining the battery much faster than stock 1.5 did, for me anyways. Even with updated radio.

I'm running fresh 2.1.2 and loving it. I flashed fix 4 for the vanilla lock screen and it's working great...all I need now is to be able to change my taskbar to something very similar to this. I didn't have any trouble rooting or flashing the fresh rom but I'm still pretty new at tweaking my phone, thanks.

simply PM the person who makes that theme and ask them if they can make a flashable taskbar for you. most are pretty nice and will do it.

reflash the rom. the first time i flashed 2.1.1, i was using sense UI and it was draining my battery super fast. i reflashed 2.1.1 again and it seemed to have helped. not sure why but i think it helped. so try it

Did you re-flash it with or without wipe? The battery life is not that much worse than stock, so to me it's not worth messing with it and having to re-configure everything after a wipe.

So if I am on 2.0d and want to goto 2.1.2 do I need to flash 2.1.1 then 2.1.2 or can i just flash 2.1.2 over 2.0d?

i think i read somewhere that if you go from 1.5 to 2.1.1 or 2.1.2, you have to wipe before you flash. i followed freshs exact directions and wiped.

so only one other person other than me has experienced the network problem?

could it be that my prl hasn't updated?

i hope there's a fix for this.

Great update yes....

I myself rolled back to 2.1.1 ...why?

the fact that I lose free space ...

2.1.2 seemed somewhat slow/laggiesh ..

Superuser permission request kept on hanging on me and that happened after I did the fix as well...

Flipz needs to re-work on his ROM and fix those problems ...that's just my 2 cents..

i just noticed this too. tried to open engadget and it said i have no internet connection. the evdo logo was gone. dont know what that was about. i restarted the phone and now it works again but if this keeps happening imma have to go back to 2.1.1

Well just went from 2.0d to 2.1.1 and its fast. What does 2.1.2 really do to change what 2.1.1 does? I see no keyboard lag at all. Is it really much faster?

I understand that, and I also wiped everything clean before updating from 1.5 to 2.1.1. I was just wondering if you wiped before re-flashing 2.1.x over previous 2.1.x install.

i only wiped going from 1.5 to 2.1.1. i didn't wipe when i went from 2.1.1 to 2.1.2. but if i ever have battery problems again i will wipe and reflash. i had bad battery problems with sense UI but not with nexus launcher or launcherpro

I know that much...I did that however I would rather hear it from those that have used both versions of it rather than what flipz says he put in it.

Is it actually faster or does it lag more? I know it kills your space but is battery life better or worse in 2.1.2? Reading his site, I really do not see a difference unless someone has seen a difference.
