First & Foremost...Thanks to all the EXTREMELY knowledgeable people here at androidforums.com

I (like tons of people) have gotten so much from these threads and im looking at rooting my phone again from the OTA update...I really miss all the extra cool stuff that comes along with rooting your phone.

But ive looked at tons and tons or Custom ROMS and Im looking for something stable and at the same time just plain AWESOME!!!!

Im looking to find out what all you Developers are actually using for your Custom Roms, of course if you have a HTC DROID ERIS...

Your help is much appreciated...as always!:D

Like he said their own ROMs. Most of the ROMs are posted over on XDA, see link below. The first page will have the newest ROMs. Just read through the threads to find one you like.

Droid Eris Android Development - xda-developers

Yeah..and it doesn't mean everything, but if you look at number of views and posts, it can be an indicator of how popular the ROM is. Just keep in mind that some are new and may not have the following yet. The best bet is to create a NAND backup of each ROM when you get it set up. Then you can try others, and if you don't like it, go back to your old ROM with everything all in place.

Yes, I would have to agree that most devs are using their own roms; however, if you are trying to decide what rom to use on your own device the best is to flash them all until you find one you love. Remember, not all roms are sense based. Therefore, if you love HTC sense and you cant live without it, choose a rom that is sense based. I have flashed most of the roms on XDA and I am currently using zen eris. It is sense based, attractive, and extremely stable. Plus, the dev is very helpful and updates his rom on a regular basis.

I am running the official 2.1 root plain rom. I flashed Zanfur's kernal over and installed Set CPU (free for XDA members). I then took out all the crap I don't use (twitter, stocks, etc). Only hit's 3.8 mflops on a good day but it's plenty fast for me. The battery life is nothing short of amazing as well.

I've tried Evil Eris, Sens-Able, Vanilla Droid, White Widow (damn nice), and Ivan's. I would say make a nand backup of your current set up and try them out. I spent a full day testing them all out but I really like the stock set up with a few tweaks.
