Best Way to Get rid of the Behold 2

Yeah I went over a lot of the problems I was having with my phone, but she said the phone had to be replaced 3 times in a 90 day period for a new phone to be considered. Should I just do that?

That is what I did. Got my third one today.

The best they will offer is a Blackberry 9700 but if you do some talking and tell them you love t-mobile but you love android more and they are making you have to pick one because you obviously can not stay in your current phone.

By any chance is your phone having the issue in my video?

You can use that as an excuse.

I wish, but no mine doesn't have that problem. It does however have a host of other problems that I mentioned to the lady today, and she even asked if I wanted to exchange the phone today. I think I'll just sell this and spend the extra to get the Slide. :(

After spending over an hour talking to 2 T-mobile customer service reps, I decided to just talk with the supervisor who basically agreed to let me rewrite my 2 year contract so that I get my free upgrade back.

Question is, where should I go from here? Right now I'm thinking of just using my upgrade for the 3G slide and selling the Behold 2 to walmart for 126 (that would make me take a 54 dollar hit, which isn't too bad).

Might be a far shot, but is there any chance Tmobile would let me upgrade to the Nexus one? Or is that something that T-mobile can't help me with?

Well I managed to get a free swap out for a MT3GS by being persistent, firm and very business like when talking to an ECSR. I simply explained that I have been with the company forever (which is not far from the truth since my account/number predates T-mobile by 2 acquisitions going back to Aerial Communications about 14 years ago) and that while I have satyed with them since before day one I am not at all happy with this situation and I will be forced to take all 5 of my lines elsewhere when my contracts are up if this is not solved to my satisfaction. Now I DO think that having been with them for as long as I have does have something to do with this but that being said I think a firm even hand that explaines your position and what you want in return will get you quite a bit.

Once again customer service keeps me with T-mobile for at least a few more years. There may be better technical providers out there but in my experince nothing beats the customer service at T-mobile.

On a slightly humerous note...I really confused a store rep when I had to replace my SIM card and it was an old aerial one still...he had no clue who or what aerial was and why it worked in my phone...ended up having the entire store over there to figure it out

sold mine on craigslist for $100. no more than that, because it isn't even worth nothing now that it won't have a 2.x update. the person i sold it to doesn't really care about all that anyway, they just needed a phone badly, i love helping people :)

Honestly the only phones worth a damn on 1.5/1.6 are the motoblur phones to me.

The T-mo rep I spoke with this morning told me that in a multiple exchange situation the CSR's are told to offer you the three choices they are displayed but a supervisor can override that and give you any handset as long as the difference in MSRP does not exceed $50.

Behold 2 MSRP-$379.99

Mytouch 3G Slide MSRP-$399.99

Cool thing is they offer you a Blackberry 9700 that has an MSRP of $449.99 instead of trying to lowball you with the Blackberry Curve that has an MSRP of $279.99.

What about those that Paid the 427 after taxes before the price drop.. or is that the current MSRP?

Oh never mind... Forget this Post, answered my on Question while I typed it..

Here is what happened to me:

On thursday I talked to someone about getting my upgrade early due to all the issues I was having. At this time I was on my second Behold 2 and having the same issue. They asked what phone I was looking at I told the CSR probably the Mytouch 3G Slide I was informed I could upgrade then and pay around $130 that day and be billed the rest. I declined and had another Behold 2 sent.

I received the third Behold 2 on tuesday and had the same issue so I called back and they offer the 3G Slide to me for free that day but I would have to wait for the second shipment and they were going to let me have a Blackberry 9700 in the meantime via the no lemon policy. Thinking that meant free I told them ok I will take the red one.

The next morning T-mobile calls with a prerecorded message telling me thank you for my order and they hope I enjoy my Mytouch 3G Slide.

Later that day I get a call from a CSR telling me that I am $65 past due on my account and they can not bill me the $33.33 for the first payment of my phone.

Turns out they were just going to take off the initial payment of the upgrade. After paying my past due amount I just had them do a "no lemon exchange" and see what I could get as far as android all that came back was the Mytouch 3G and the G1 but after talking to a supervisor I got the Cliq....... not the XT.

I still have my upgrade and an extra $100 off any phone so if the Cliq does not get the update as scheduled I will get the MT3GS or I can just wait until something better comes along.

Just clearing up all the post that I made that were all over the place.

Sucks for us EM+ users.

I have been a T-Mobile contract client for 5 years until I broke my old Nokia last December and got talked into buying a Behold II. Like most of you I was promised 2.0 by the salesmen and Samsung. I had to however switch from a contract plan to Even More because of the payment option.

Well, I have exchanged the phone 8 times so far because of issues with SD cards, FC's, lagging etc... So I finally decided to call T-Mobile and attempted to get a Slide. In a professional manner I told the rep of all my frustration (buying a $450 phone which is unusable sometimes, having to buy another phone for times when the Behold is acting up, etc...)

The rep was very apologetic and offered me either a brand new Behold II, a Bold 9700, or a Neuron. None of which sound appealing at all. I then spoke to a supervisor who told me that unfortunately that would be all they could offer me. After much "sweet talk" I got her to offer me $100 off the new Slide.

So if I were to get a Slide I'd be spending $299 and plus I could sell the Behold II at Walmart for $130. So that's $170 for it. Problem is I don't think it's fair I'd have to spend another dime on a new phone so soon and to be honest the Slide doesn't appeal to me too much.

Anyone with an EM+ plan had any luck acquiring a Slide for free?
