Help App similiar to City ID?

Here's the program you want, works perfectly...set the text to be "high" i believe to have it behave just like the original.

enjoy!
That's exactly what I was looking for. Though it would've been perfect if it also logged the city in the Call History screen like CityID did.

I can't imagine that an app like this would be difficult to develop--just have a database with all US area codes and the city that each is associated with.

I installed it too. You should set the text to be in the "bottom high" location, otherwise it's covered up by the "accept" and "reject" buttons. Bottom high puts it just below the numbers, although I'm getting a call now and it's just over the unlock bar, so maybe "bottom medium high" would be better.

I was just going to suggest the same thing: set it to "Bottom Middle-High". Now, the text from either the unlock bar or the accept/reject buttons won't interfere.

If i'm not mistaken, with city ID it would Identify the phone exchange ID, not actually where the person is calling from. If the phone number/area code is under a certain city/county, but the caller makes the call from a totally different county/city/state, the ID still shows the listed exchange city, not the location of the caller at the present time when making the call.

I just don't see the need for City ID. Waste

does it ID the area/location of the caller regardless of cell phone number/area code... or show the location from where the cell phone is located at the time.

If you buy a cell phone in seattle washington with a seattle washington phone number and area code, and you make a call when your in miami florida, will it show miami florida or seattle Washington.
