Root What is the best rom for me?

Nice now my sense keeps force closing every so often. Ive leaned I cant have all the features i want on a stable rom.

I'm using Sense-able and no force closes yet. When I flashed it the first time I forgot to wipe the data/factory and it forced closed so much I couldn't even use the phone but I did a nandroid backup before and restored then tried again this time wiping the proper thing and no force close after that.

Like it or not, HTC knows what they're doing... Hence why the Eris-based ROMs are considered the most stable too.

Would I like the coolest ROM I could get ? Sure, but on (1) condition: My phone has to be ... usable.

I would think they're stable because the Kernal code is optimized for Eris already...no?

Usable was not a word I would have described my phone as before root.

"Most" ? Not true... Don't say things like that and mislead others.

I'm on my 4th ROM with mms issues
and over at xda it seems that its a common problem, so misleading? i think not

and if you don't believe me, straight from xda:

Just depends on the rom...alot of the sprint based roms can be sorted with the apn work around, some devs are including their own fixes I would suggest checking the first post of the rom you are using or simply reading through the threads "when in doubt search it out". The mms issue is well known and I'm sure when there is a true fix it will make "front page" news.

the only ROM without soft keys for me was Evil Eris. I like the rom however but i like the soft keys.
Aloysius FTW for me
zenexp was nice
sense-able was awesome
Ic3 2.7 is the one with the mms fix seperate flash, great rom as well!

Aloysius is a great rom, but no one was getting my MMS
ZenExp is the one I'm currently enjoying, no big issues
Ic3 2.7 i also had a few mms issues, but a very stable rom

Its really all up to what OP wants in a rom. All can be overclocked, JIT + Sense-based is a no go, and some have beta releases that may have some problems. I'm still waiting on that Pure N1 vanilla feel with JIT

List the ROMs you're using and I think you'll find a common theme amongst them. I've used (3) ROMs so far and two of the three work fine with MMS. Out of the box, too, no "fix" needed after initial install.

white widow is amazing, but its under a lot of heat right now.

Yes... it is:D. Interesting stuff...

I was actually thinking of trying it.. but i like to wait until the bugs are worked out.
I got tired of flashing a rom and the next day the dev releasing an update that requires flash.... Wife is about to throw my eris out the window:eek:

Perhaps the name of the ROM is foreshadowing events to come?
