is that happening to anyone else. whenever i get a message it will give me 2 notifications or more sometimes..how do i fix that

You are probably using Handcent or Chomp.
If so, open the stock messaging app and go into the settings. Disable all notification settings. You are getting notfications from each app that you have on your phone.

since 2.1 update, I get notifications for meetings, messages, calendar whatever sometimes days after I'd dismissed them. Typically happens after I restart the phone. I dismiss them and they go away for awhile, but pretty much renders that reminder function of the phone useless.

I assumed it was something I did after the 2.1 update. I get calendar reminders that continue to prompt even after I know I have dismissed them. They pile up until I drill into the notification and hit "dismiss all".

Same here, mostly for calendar events. I also have this (incredibly frustrating) problem where I will have my calendar notification sound every few minutes, but when I check my phone, there isn't anything in the notification bar. The only way to make it shut up is to manually go into my calendar, find the event, and disable the reminder. This never happened when I was on 1.5. (I'm on 2.1 OTA)

haha not anytime soon dont worry. it doesnt ship until next month and none of the verizon stores around me have the incredible in stock
